Description of the galleries:

:bulletred:Vanyar:

The name referred to the hair of the Minyar, which was in nearly all members of the clan yellow or deep golden.

P.S. For people that don't have deep knowledge about Tolkien world, Legolas is Wood Elf, not Vanyar, and you should submit work about him to "Legolas" folder.

*******

:bulletred: Noldor:

They were mostly dark-haired. Owing to intermarriage the golden hair of the Vanyar sometimes later appeared among the Noldor: notably in the case of Finarfin, and in his children Finrod and Galadriel,  in whom it came from King Finwë's second wife, Indis of the Vanyar.

*******

:bulletred: Teleri:

Teleri (meaning Those who come last, singular Teler) were the third of the Elf clans who came to Aman. Those who came to Aman became known as the Falmari or "sea elves". The Teleri were more slender and perhaps slightly shorter on average than the Noldor and Vanyar. They had mostly black hair, but their royal family and perhaps some other individuals had silver hair. Their skin color was probably pale to light brown.

*******

:bulletred: "S." and "S":

Folder for Sindar and Silvan of Teleri elven clan

1)   Sindar appear to have very closely resembled the Exiles <Noldor>, being dark-haired, strong and tall, but lithe. Indeed they could hardly be told apart except by their eyes; for the eyes of all the Elves that had dwelt in  Aman impressed  those of Middle-earth by their piercing brightness.

2) Silvan or Wood Elves are the Elves of northern Mirkwood and Lothlórien. In the First Age the Elves of Ossiriand, or Laiquendi, were also referred to as wood-elves. Silvan Elves are described as being less wise than other Eldar, and some of them almost are indistinguishable from the Avari, those who never joined the Great Journey.

IMPORTANT NOTE: LEGOLAS IS EXEPTION. HE HAVE HIS OWN FOLDER AND HIS FAN ART YOU NEED TO SUBMIT THERE!

*******

:bulletred: Legolas:

Folder dedicated only to one character - Legolas Greenleaf.
All other Sindar and Silvan elves you need to submit to "S" and "S." folder, but Legolas pics you HAVE TO   submit here.
  - But why?
- Why?! Because 95 % of fanwork belongs to this elf... We afraid someone who want to see other Sindar and Silvan Elves will be scared with how much Legolas would be there.. :D

So we will try to avoid unwished situation with making folder only for Legolas/ Legolas Fans.

*******

:bulletred: Half-elves:

Folder for half elves:

1) Luthien Tunuviel
2) Dior Eluchíl
3) Elwing
4) Eluréd & Elurín
5) Eärendil the Mariner
(counted among Elves)
6) Elrond Half-elven (counted among Elves)
7) Elros Tar-Minyatur (counted among Men)
8) Elladan and Elrohir (counted among Elves;mortal)
9) Arwen Undómiel (counted among Elves;mortal)
10) Eldarion (son of Aragorn) (counted among Men)
11) Kings of Numenor and Aragorn (counted among Men)

Flaqs and wepons of this characters are acceptable too.

Note: This characters can be submited ONLY to this folder. They are special and  because of that they have their special folder. Submission to other folder will NOT be accepted.

*******

:bulletred: First age:

The First Age of the Children of Ilúvatar - Folder for scenes of events where the elves appear in the first age.

"There is a belief that the term "First Age" refers to the period between the first rising of the Sun and Moon until the beginning of the Second Age. According to that definition, the 'proper' First Age lasted only c. 600 years, the smallest of all. However in The Peoples of Middle-earth, Tolkien mentioned that the First Age was the longest, signifying therefore that the term "First Age" encompasses at least the Years of the Trees as well."

So, in our group, we will count first age as :
A time from awakening of Elves in Quivienen till the fall of Melkor.
As we said, this is folder for EVENTS. Main mistake at submiting is this: when you have one character that appear in all ages, you submit it to first age. Don't do it!
:bulletblue: On work that contains portrait of one character, you need to submit it to one of four folders: "Vanyar", "Noldor". "Teleri", "Legolas"or "S. and S."
example: lordshadowblade.deviantart.com…

:bulletblue: To THIS folder you can submit only events that happen in this age:
example: edarlein.deviantart.com/art/Fi…

*******

:bulletred: Second age:

Folder for scenes of events where the elves appear in the second age.
Second age is a time from fall of Melkor till the downfall of Numenor and the first overthrow of Sauron by the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.
As we said, this is folder for EVENTS. Main mistake at submiting is this: when you have work with portrait of one character that appear in all ages, you submit it to first age. Don't do it!
:bulletblue: On work that contains portrait of one character, you need to submit it to one of four folders: "Vanyar", "Noldor". "Teleri", "Legolas"or "S. and S."
example: fav.me/d2y5a78

:bulletblue: To THIS folder you can submit only events that happen in this age:
example: moumou38.deviantart.com/art/Ga…

*******

:bulletred: Third age:

Folder for scenes of events where the elves appear in the third age.
Third age is a time from the first overthrow of Sauron by the Last Alliance of Elves and Men till returning of the king of Gondor to the throne.
As we said, this is folder for EVENTS. Main mistake at submiting is this: when you made portrait of one character that appear in all ages, you submit it to first age. Don't do it!
:bulletblue: On work that contains portrait of one character, you need to submit it to one of four folders: "Vanyar", "Noldor". "Teleri", "Legolas"or "S. and S."
example: fav.me/d2y5a78

:bulletblue: To THIS folder you can submit only events that happen in this age:
example: klukart.deviantart.com/art/LOR…

*******

:bulletred: Places:

Folder about places in Tolkien world. As you can guess, there is not a single place where an elf COULD NOT  go, so.. We accept pics of all places in Middle Earth, from Angband to Valmar.

*******

:bulletred: Literature:

Folder for text that is:
1) made by you and contains elven characters that live in Tolkien world.
example click here .
2) collected by you, but that belong to Tolkien.
example click here
3)  on elvish, but made in form of picture.
example click here
4)quote of some character in Tolkien world
example click here

*******

:bulletred: FC-s and OC-s:

OC = Own Character (or Original Character) , as opposed to an FC, or Fan Character - a character you made for a pre-existing story that you did not create. Etc. Legolas is Tolkien's OC. If you create a character for the Tolkien universe, that's an FC. Understand?
In this folder we accept all characters YOU own, that live in Tolkien world. This folder is, by itself special, and in order to be more understanding we allow you to submit not only elves, then other races. ;)

*******

:bulletred: Artisan Crafts:

Tangible craft work created by the artist for utilitarian use, such as leather working, woodworking, glass-blowing, doll-making, metalwork, pottery making, textiles, etc. Only the tangible finished product is artisan craft.

Transfered to our language: It's all things that YOU make by your OWN hands.

This folder is special, and because of that we will accept   NOT ONLY ELVES!

Here is also place for dolls repainted as characters!

Note for action figures: Action figures that are NOT made by you, will be accepted ONLY and ONLY  if they are photographed artistically or represent some scene made from them!

*******

:bulletred: Stamps:

Folder for stamps about Tolkien elves.
In stamps don't have to be word "elf". To be accepted, it is important that stamp HAVE TO point or associated on elves, or part of the period in the Tolkien world in which they lived.

Etc. If on stamp is written etc. " race live in eternal forest, bounded by great sorrow that should never be forgotten" and in description of deviation it writes race=elves, it will surely be accepted.
Other example, is, etc. "I speak elvish."
P.S. Those are only examples. If you are still not sure should you submit your stamps to folder, feel free to send us a note.

*******

:bulletred: Other:

Folder for the other things associated with the Tolkien elves. It can be etc. ent, Vala,  men, some chibi, a hobbit, maiar, or something other.

Before you submit your work to this folder, first check can it be submited to some different folder. If can, then don't submit here!

-What? You don't accept ONLY elves!?"
- Of course not! Group without all this other great characters and other things that make Tolkien special is NOT a group!
